Editorial policy
Sources
We prefer primary sources: published ingredient weight charts from established baking companies, government measurement standards such as NIST Handbook 44, and appliance manufacturers' own instructions. Each guide lists its sources at the end, and each converter result names the source of the weight it used.
Numbers
Every number in a guide is produced or checked with the same code that runs the converters. If a source rounds a value, we say so instead of inventing extra precision.
Use of AI
AI tools help us draft and edit. Nothing is published until a person has checked the numbers and the claims against the sources.
Corrections
When we find a mistake, we fix the guide or the converter and update the date shown on the page.
